Bronco Charlie showed enough in two starts in bumpers to suggest that he would be more than good enough to take a race of this nature and is preferred to Classic Croco and Doris Souter. The last mentioned showed promise at Newton Abbot last time and would be of interest if the market spoke in his favour. Le Gris also ran better at Newton Abbot last month and has claims on that evidence, while Slalom probably needs to improve on recent evidence. Mr Jawbreaker is less exposed than some of his rivals but of more interest is Classic Croco, who should appreciate the return to novice-company having been well held in handicap last time. Bronco Charlie, a winner at Galway on his debut, only had the one start for Jonjo O'Neill last term when not beaten far when admittedly odds on but the son of Be My Native would not need to be out of the ordinary to make a winning start to his hurdling career.
