This is quite competitive so last week’s Kempton winner Mabo has been done no favours by a penalty. Troop deserves to get his head in front having gone close at Newcastle three times in a row but this is a better race than the one Maisie Moo won at Kempton two weeks ago and she has still to prove she stays a mile. Ebbisham hasn’t fired this year but was better last month here and has place prospects. CARIBBEAN SPRING seems to handle most surfaces but three of his four career wins have come around here and he is only a pound higher than the last of those. This is probably his best trip so he gets the vote.
