In depth

Verdict

PROP FORWARD debuts on the all-weather penalised for winning at Bath. But Clive Cox’ colt returned an easy winner and looks worth sticking with in this ahead of Maywake. The latter went close again at Ripon back in June and is preferred to stablemate and newcomer Crofters Green. Lion Ring is more exposed having failed to figure in handicaps recently though still looks best of the remainder.
