Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Non Compliant is nominated ahead of Massenzio and Manchurian. Non Compliant can be forgiven a recent near-miss at the track as he was drawn in the car park on the day but with stall one allocated today, he should have few problems on that score and looks the one that they all have to beat. Massenzio is a rare runner at Wolverhampton for John Gosden and was not too far behind the progressive Cumin on a last turf outing. It is interesting that the colt has been upped in trip as he has plenty of pace but this is not a strong race. Manchurian was slowly away on his debut at Haydock but he ran on stoutly enough to suggest that a race was within his compass. Not Another Cat was a US$ 180 000 purchase so the market is watched on debut. Wolf River represents the yard of fledgling trainer David Simcock and as the trainer has been more than capable of producing winners first time out, he too is noted. Non Compliant has course form and should fare better from a decent draw.
