In depth

Verdict

Cicely was a disappointing favourite behind CITY ESCAPE when the latter scored over track and trip. Mark Loughnane’s charge also had the measure of King Carney on that occasion and can go close again. Calcutta Dream won at Newcastle recently and cheekpieces are added while Eagle Eyed Freddie scored over a mile at Southwell and Trusty Scout landed a classified race over a longer trip here.
