In depth

Verdict

Woofie has been alloted a handicap mark of 73 and sets the standard after a placed effort at Lingfield. But it would be no surprise if either Dembaba or ZIGGY'S STAR improved enough to land this. The former wasn't beaten far over 7f on his debut but the latter's second over track and trip behind a Godolphin hotpot looks stronger form so Mike Appleby's charge gets the nod. Cape Lion is out of a prolific mare and related to a Listed winner while Princess Tansy is a half-sister to three winners and both newcomers are worth a second glance in the betting.
