Typical betting shop fodder to start proceedings and LYRICAL INTENT is the selection in it with Stark Contrast and Alseeraj likely to have their supporters. Paul Howling has his string in good order at present and with Lyrical Intent continuing to defy the handicapper from what was a very low base figure, he has to be the call in a race where winning form is in short supply. Stark Contrast is tried in eyeshields for the first time. Expect to see his young apprentice riding much closer to the pace than she has done previously. Alseraaj was rated in the 70's when trained by Sir Michael Stoute. The mare has not been seen out since April 2009 though has dropped significantly down the weights since her tenure at Freemasons Lodge. Vanadium has made a habit of appearing unlucky in running and his record is saying it all at present. Libre is a consistent sort at this level and has placepot banker across him though we cannot bring ourselves to make him win banker on this occasion. John Weymes is doing well with the former Karl Burke inmates so a note of Complete Frontline is made in the market. Alan McCabe's runners are always worthy of note so Mojerr, who dons a first time visor, has to go into that category. Amber Ridge looks to have lost the plot of late and it is to be hoped that rising star, Paul Pickard, can gain a tune out of him today. Lyrical Intent has least negatives in a moderate race.
