A poor contest where TEN POLE TUDOR can continue some good recent form with a win, while Swiss Art and Pride Of Nation can give him a run for his money. The last-named was good enough to win a Group 3 back in 2007, since when he has slid fully 41lbs in the BHA ratings. That remains his most recent success, and although he is 6lbs better off with the selection for a defeat of just over two lengths here last month, he simply does not give the impression that the losing run is about to come to an end. Swiss Art remains very much a Southwell specialist, even though he is likely to show up well here without winning, while Daniel Thomas is well treated at these weights but didn't appear to get home over this trip on this surface last time, despite having a 9f turf win to his name. That brings us back to the selection. Ron Harris's Ten Pole Tudor may not be quite as good as a couple of these on official ratings but he loves it here, with three of his four career wins coming at the track, and he gets the trip well. His recent form has been as consistent as one can expect in this grade and he can get his nose in front again.
