    Verdict

    Custard The Dragon generally saves his best for the Fibresand at Southwell so this might be a good opportunity for GLORY AWAITS to follow up his victory at Chelmsford. That victory ended a 25-race losing run but it shouldn’t be forgotten that David Simcock’s charge was second to Dawn Approach in the 2000 Guineas five years ago and is now rated just 84. Dark Alliance has a pretty good strike-rate on artificial surfaces but he’s looking a few pounds too high at present. Energia Flavio, on the other hand, has won just one of his 13 starts here and that was a seller.
