Awesome Allan may be 0-13 on the all-weather but he wasn’t beaten far in a better race over 5f here on Saturday and Silvestre De Sousa keeps faith with David Evans’ four-year-old. However, he was beaten by Strategic Heights at Kempton at the start of the month and Jamie Osborne’s veteran is only a pound worse off, though poorly drawn. Major Crispies finished ahead of Indian Affair here two runs ago but then disappointed in a claimer at Newcastle. THORNTOUN LADY has the cheekpieces back on for the first time since scoring over track and trip in October. She’s been running well over 7f since and, receiving weight all round, must have a decent chance in a wide-open contest. A Sure Welcome goes well fresh and has a good strike-rate on the track so should also be in the firing-line.
