HEPWORTH, who had shown real promise in a backend maiden at Doncaster as a juvenile, had over a year off before beaten when a short-priced favourite at Lingfield. He was again market leader when put in his place by Biggins Boy here a couple of weeks ago but the remainder were in another parish and time may tell he was taking on a decent performer. He gets the vote to gain compensation though there are plenty of dangers, not the least Rosie's Lady who won easily over today's track and trip three weeks ago and has to be forgiven her run over a much shorter trip the next day. Mediterranean Sea has won on Polytrack but is much better at Southwell and though Cheers For Thea has eight victories to her credit she's never proved she stays this far. Candelita has won a bumper, scored over hurdles and on Fibresand at Southwell so could go well at a big price from her lowly spot in the weights.
