The vote here goes to Don Pasquale ahead of Borocay Dream and Paper Doll. A starting point here is Borocay Dream, who was not beaten far over a mile at Lingfield in a race won by Big Band Music that has worked out quite well and, with his breeding suggesting a step up in trip might help, could go well in a modest heat. It is interesting that David Loder, who trains Big Band Music, saddles Don Pasquale here, and that runner was third to a Peter Chapple-Hyam runner on his latest start. As Chapple-Hyam trains Borocay Dream, the betting is likely to prove telling today. On a line through Avanti Avanti, there is not much between Borocay Dream and Paper Doll, so factor that point in also, while much as Self Respect has plenty of dirt winners in his pedigree, he could not have been showing too much speed at home last season to debut at 10 furlongs. With Seattle Robber's form being solid if unspectacular, and with the Mark Johnston runner Sea Kestrel having finished behind another Loder runner in Royal Wedding on his debut, the wheel spins us back to Don Pasquale, whose form rates at least on a par with those in this contest to have raced, and who can score in division two of the maiden.
