Easily the most valuable race on the card has drawn a competitive field for which Tidy gets a narrow vote ahead of Fonthill Road, Azreme and Blonde En Blonde. Jamie Osborne's charge has shown a progressive profile having landed a maiden success here on his final start last term before making a winning seasonal return in a Haydock handicap in May. The son of Mujadil ran well when third off a 5lb higher mark in a Goodwood handicap next time but found no luck in running on his latest start at Sandown and the run is probably best ignored. Proven on the surface and capable of further progress, Tidy should give a good account while the booking of Jamie Spencer looks significant. Fonthill Road has been in tremendous heart of late, winning three of his four career starts, and is fully effective on Fibresand so clearly rates a big danger with further improvement to come. Azreme stepped up on previous efforts for the fitting of first-time visors when making all at Lingfield last time and is yet another on the upgrade who has to be respected. Blonde En Blonde completed a hat-trick of wins during a successful winter all-weather campaign but now gives the impression that the handicapper is in charge so preference is for Tidy who looks the answer to a difficult race.
