Mynd lines up in search of a hat-trick and is taken to complete the task at the expense of River Days, Lady Pekan and Cleveland Way. Mynd has obvious claims after his back-to-back victories here this year, in which he has shown marked improvement on previous efforts. Richard Whitaker's gelding won with something to spare on the second occasion and should make a bold bid to collect again before being stepped up in trip as he certainly shapes as though capable of scoring over six furlongs. River Days was not able to master Arogant Prince when second in selling company here last time but stuck to his task well and is not too badly treated, while his conqueror has been beaten over six furlongs since and gets a welcome drop back in trip. Lady Pekan made all over the course and distance in December but has been a little unlucky since. She has not performed too badly and is worth considering for a place at least, especially if more forcing tactics are employed. Darryll Holland is an eye-catching booking for Malahide Express, but he still has to improve to take a hand, so Mynd is the logical choice to defy the handicapper.
