Verdict
The inform Sharp Hat and Cash will no doubt have their followers but a chance is taken with Dil. At first glance Norma Macauley's charge appears to be up against it having finished out with the washing on his last eight outings, however he comes to form at this time of year and was second in this event last season off a mark of 65. He may have regressed since then but still cannot be ignored with a 20 pound pull with the winner Mutared. Sharp Hat landed moderate races here and at Catterick in November and wasn't disgraced last time when third to Ellens Lad. But for the main danger it has to be Cash who beat a big field at Southwell a fortnight ago and has also shown ability here in the past. Prince Of Blues is also worthy of a mention as he is steadily slipping down the weights, but we take Dil to return to his best.
