In depth

Verdict

TULANE is getting closer having found only one too good at Kempton last month and the form looks solid enough with the third subsequently winning. The application of a tongue-tie could see him off the mark today. Hooflepuff’s earlier course and distance success came in a claimer while Good Impression won at Ffos Las in between his more usual moderate efforts. Mamdood can do better back on this surface having won at Newcastle earlier but Henry Croft has been off the track for over a year. Chinese Alphabet has yet to win but has joined Mick Appleby’s yard and it won’t be long before he gets his head in front.
