Battleofthesomme still has plenty to prove over this longer trip but he did win over 2m here last month and showed he handles a soft surface when successful over hurdles at Uttoxeter subsequently. SHINTORI made a winning return at Plumpton after signing off last season with a victory at Fontwell. Jack Barber’s top weight has gone up a further 5lb but may be worth sticking with. Glance Back will be all the better for a run at Hereford but is another with stamina doubts. Champion Chase is 0-19 but should run his race again without being quite good enough.
