      In depth

      Verdict

Tanning has to be the selection here as most of the others are totally out of form, Bobering and Bunkhouse may do best of the others. Tony Carroll's three-year-old showed a good level of form on the all-weather during last winter and has also performed with credit on the turf since. Her recent second to Melvino in a Brighton handicap is solid form in the context of this race and she is a confident choice. Bobering did finish second here in April, but if possible, that was an even weaker race than this. He at least has shown some ability this season and may get into the places. Bunkhouse has gone well here over shorter trips, if he does get this extra distance he may be capable of getting the money. Macanillo is another to consider for each-way purposes but the best overall form is held by Tanning who is a strong choice.
