In a very open affair Gala Sunday is just given the verdict, Golden Spectrum and Princeable Lady could be the ones to chase him home. Mick Easterby's five-year-old ran no sort of race at Pontefract last time, but is better judged on his previous effort when runner up behind Successor at Nottingham. He was rated in the nineties at the start of last season so has obviously regressed, however he should still have enough ability to win a race of this nature. Golden Spectrum, a dual winner in the summer, made a very promising return to this track last time, finishing a close up fifth in a better contest, he should be involved in the finish today. Princeable Lady won a Nottingham seller off a mark of 47 so is another that warrants respect in a weak affair. All in all it is not a race to get too heavily involved but Gala Sunday should be capable of going very close and gets our vote.
