Verdict

Tom Dascombe's PARTY DOCTOR showed a decent level of ability as a two-year-old when twice placed in listed races at Ascot and finishing a close fourth behind Elusive Pimpernel in York's Acomb Stakes and a reproduction of that level of form should see him open his account at the first time of asking as a three-year-old in a race where the opposition looks relatively weak with Raktiman and Search For The Key looking best for the forecast options. Raktiman is a stable companion of the selection but looks the clear second best of Tom Dascombe's two runners in the race, while Paul Cole's Search For The Key has run promisingly in both starts so far as a juvenile but needs to have improved from two to three if he is to trouble the judge. Mark Johnston's runners always warrant respect but his runner, Barnstorm, has looked one of the lesser lights in the yard, while David Elsworth's Sunley Spinalonga has looked little better than moderate so far. He will not be much of a price, but it is impossible to oppose Party Doctor, who can gain a well deserved first success.
