In depth

Verdict

The shortlist here contains Ledgerwood, Hollow Point and Afton View and narrow preference is for Ledgerwood. The selection won well last time at Lingfield when he sprang a surprise to beat Waterloo Dock. That should have given his confidence a boost and he looks the percentage call to follow-up. Hollow Point ran an improved race last time and Mark Johnston's 3-year-old colt is certainly of interest on his handicap bow. However, he was well beaten on his previous try over this trip which does temper confidence. Afton View turned in his best effort to date last time when a close third behind Tiger's Rocket, but he will need to continue on an upward curve if he is to get his head in front here. Bury Treasure looks the best of the others, but for the winner we will stick with Ledgerwood.
