    In depth

    Verdict

Lunar Limelight is just 3lbs higher than when winning here in December and he looks primed to run a big race with Richard Hughes booked to take the ride but his record when fresh isn't awe inspiring so it may pay to look elsewhere. Ptolomeos won well enough at Yarmouth and may have more to offer but the percentage call looks to be to side with PATTERN MARK. Ollie Pears has his string in good form with three winners from just eleven runners in the past fortnight and this gelding made a winning all-weather debut over course and distance and looks capable of defying a 3lb higher mark. Bold Marc has yet to prove as effective on artificial surfaces as he is on turf and of more interest is Gallego (who is on a decent mark and partnered by a jockey with a terrific record at this track) and Lunar River (who wasn't far behind the selection last time and could reward each-way support at a decent price).
