This seller is a tricky prospect with Alf Tupper slightly better treated than SIR GEORGE but with the latter very much on better form we side with Ollie Pears' runner with Old Romney making the shortlist. Granted the pick missed out on a good opportunity in a seller last time but it looks as if the jockey was over delicate that day perhaps to make sure he lasted home. In hindsight he did stay but the step down in trip is probably wise and based on his handicap second place here two starts back he should resume winning ways. Alf Tupper is slightly better in at the weights but hasn't seen prize money come his way since placing in a Dundalk handicap over a mile in April. He does go well here though as proved by his course and distance win prior to his Dundalk run and he drops into this grade for the first time. Outside this pair Old Romney is given a chance by the framing of this race but will need to improve to score here while Woolston Ferry also gets a mention on the same principle. This is tricky race to call but from a shortlist of two we opt for Sir George.
