The phrase wide-open was penned for races like Division One of this mile handicap but KIELTY'S FOLLY may not have been suited by the slow conditions at Southwell last time when a beaten favourite so is given another chance ahead of course and distance winners Fitzolini and The City Kid. The pick seemed good value for his late show victory over course and distance two starts back but couldn't pick up for a repeat at Southwell next time. Given that it may have been the surface that did him in on that occasion he looks worth another try off the same mark. Fitzolini kept on well to get his own course and distance win in November but he's continued to climb up the handicap despite defeat recently and that has to be a concern. The City Kid is on a long losing run but is now looking very dangerous at the weights and shouldn't be ruled out. Freya's Flight is potentially well treated on the pick on her maiden form and its interesting she's stepped up in trip on her debut in these ranks so any market positives for her would be very interesting. A race full of imponderables but Kielty's Folly looks worth of giving another chance.
