Verdict
A truly uninspiring maiden in which Screenplay gets the most tentative of votes over the likes of Seattle Robber and Noble Mind. Bets are best kept to a minimum but Screenplay does at least look to be going the right way this season, having improved to finish second to Isle De Maurice on his first visit here three weeks ago. The latter was a warm order that day but the selection made him work fairly hard before fading, and as we know that he handles the track, Sheena West's inmate should be bang in at the finish in this company. Seattle Robber has been kept busy and has been placed on a couple of occasions, but is barely better than plating class, while Noble Mind had his limitations exposed last season and is also held on a line through a horse called Blue Hills, ahead of him last time, but behind Screenplay on his latest start. The Clown has shown very little to date and the market will reveal whether any of the others are fancied, but we shall rely on Screenplay to put up a good show.
