Loaded Gun gets a tentative vote over Golden Spectrum, with the likes of Iamback, Shifty, Heartbeat and Maria Bonita worth a mention. One cannot be too optimistic in a race of this nature, but the first two mentioned both have good draws and should play a part on recent form. Loaded Gun has failed to deliver since coming over from France two years ago, but is becoming very familiar with Dunstal Park, having raced nowhere else since November. Mark Brisbourne's challenger has never really looked like opening his account, but it has to be said that he was a bit unlucky in running behind Plausabelle here nine days ago and maybe the penny is beginning to drop. He will be a fair price and is a sporting selection. Golden Spectrum is a similar sort who was a close second over seven furlongs here last week. That was in selling company though so he is not one to go overboard about. Iamback was successful twice in this company last May and has hinted at a return to form lately, and in company with Shifty, Heartbeat and recent Lingfield winner Maria Bonita, has claims of a sort. However the race is weak enough for Loaded Gun to finally open his account.
