        Verdict

        None of these can be relied on to produce their best and that includes recent 5f winner Speightowns Kid given he'd finished tailed off over 7f before that. INVIGILATOR showed a bit more last time which may indicate an imminent return to form and he gets the speculative vote. Wooden King is quite capable of winning this on a going day but it's anybody's guess when that will be while Black Dave and Iceblast have both struggled off higher marks since winning lowly handicaps during the summer.
