Distant Drama, Alexander Guru and Idun make most appeal in this maiden and we will nominate Distant Drama as the one to beat. Jeremy Noseda's filly has disappointed here in the past but she ran well at Lingfield last time when a close second behind Hope Island and a reproduction of that effort should make her tough to beat. Alexander Guru ran a fair race on his handicap debut here when fourth behind Prince Noel. He will need to improve to get competitive off this mark but he is lightly-raced and there may be more to come. Idun is another lightly-raced filly and she did not see out the trip at Lingfield last time. She may be worth another chance tonight over this more suitable distance. Botham has a decent draw and could go well at a price, but we prefer the claims of Distant Drama who should be hard to beat.
