Diamond Josh, King of Sting and Desert Lover are the three for the shortlist and the vote is given to Diamond Josh. The selection is nothing out of the ordinary but he is eased in grade here and in a race that should not take a great deal of winning he looks the percentage call. King of Sting would have claims on the back of his first two racecourse outings but he was bitterly disappointing at Leicester last time and for that reason we will take him on. Desert Lover wore a visor for the first time when last seen out and raced too freely before fading quickly at the business end of the race. He races without the visor today but he has plenty to prove at present and we are happy to take him on. Dane Rhapsody ran well in a better race than this last time so he is another who could go well at a decent price. However, Diamond Josh has shown enough promise in his previous outings to set the standard for the rest today.
