Iron Pearl can get the better of topweight Grange Lili, with Foxy Music and Convivial Spirit worth a mention at least. This looks fairly open but Iron Pearl is a progressive sort judged on her maiden victory at Lingfield last month when she showed a fine turn of foot. Admittedly she did not beat much that day, but Jane Chapple-Hyam's filly does not appear overburdened on this her handicap debut, and she has the scope to follow up here at the very least. Grange Lili has been quicker off the blocks, having gained her second career success 11-days ago at Southwell. Her trainer was going to give her a break with the upcoming Turf season in mind, but she is obviously thriving to be turned out here. Her stablemate Foxy Music is down at the opposite end of the handicap and needs to find more here, while Convivial Spirit has been off for two-and-a-half months so will be fitter for the run. Iron Pearl looks the type to follow this year, and should be good enough to make her mark today.
