In depth

Verdict

Chelmsford runner-up Don't Tell Claire was due to run at Newmarket yesterday while Silk Lace was still beaten a long way when runner-up at Pontefract recently. Rated 74, Heavens Open should be competitive at this level as she returns to action while Rubia Bella went close at Kempton on last year’s debut and David Simcock’s filly could also figure. But COURTESY is the first foal of a half-sister to the yard’s smart Group 2 winner Eminent and Martyn Meade’s 160,000gns filly is taken to make a winning start.
