Vanquisher showed promise in all three starts as a juvenile and, provided that he handles the surface, the William Haggas-trained gelding looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open his account getting the verdict over Gulf Express and Dr Dream. The last mentioned was doing all of his best work late on over seven furlongs at Lingfield on his debut and should improve for the longer trip today so warrants respect. Luca Cumani's Boz was well held on his only start at two but may do better this term, although the yard are yet to hit form. A market move for Golden Wave would be of interest although Jeremy Noseda's runners have looked in need of the run so far this term, while Ashes Regained did not progress from his first start and may be best watched despite the form of runners from the yard of Barry Hills. Sir Michael Stoute has made a good start to the current campaign so Gulf Express has to be respected but he was well held on his Yarmouth debut last term and preference is for Vanquisher, who is taken to fulfill juvenile form.
