This should not take a great deal of winning and in a moderate race the vote goes to Wilmington, who is preferred to Peggys Flower and Denton Hawk. The last mentioned gave little sign of encouragement when last seen in February but earlier form would give him a chance in this event so he has to be considered. Conny Nobel is less exposed than most of these but has given little real sign of ability, while Silly Gilly ran better at Southwell last time but remains a maiden and that run may continue here. Suntan Lady is not certain to stay seven furlongs and of more interest may be Peggys Flower, particularly if the market speaks in his favour. The vote though goes to Wilmington, who should appreciate the drop back in distance having seemingly failed to stay further last time.
