Once again, this is a tricky contest with those making it onto the shortlist including Rebel Raider, Muyassir, Temper Tantrum, Cryfield, Qobtaan and Filliemou, with the vote going to Rebel Raider. Much as the selection has been raised five pounds for his course and distance win in a maiden handicap last time, he is still well weighted based on his old Irish mark so the case for his prospects is not a difficult one to make. Muyassir is another to be competitively weighted based on winning form at Lingfield, while Temper Tantrum has chances based on his best Turf form of last year. Also, there is no doubt also that Cryfield has dropped to an attractive mark and was noted making late headway last time. Qobtaan is a course and distance winner - albeit not on Polytrack - and is reasonably rated, while Filliemou has a chance based on her decent second to Kryssa at Windsor two runs ago. As we say, it's competitive but that, in turn, makes for an interesting affair, and one that might just go to Rebel Raider.
