        Verdict

        Mark Johnston's two-year-olds have general improved markedly from first run to second this season and given that EXEMPLARY ran a solid debut he¿s taken to land this weak looking maiden with the progressive Shabak Hom and Miss Starlight the pick of the others. Having been slow away the pick then travelled well for much of his first outing before weakening out of a challenge. That run should bring him on leaps and bounds and the switch to Polytrack should help with his expected improvement. Shabak Hom did find progression from first run to second last time and easily stayed this trip so if continuing on that upward curve he¿ll be close again. Miss Starlight was solid in a Newmarket maiden on her racecourse bow and with the form beginning to work out from she's entitled to show more. Krymian is respected from a top yard but with progression likely Exemplary is our choice.
