        Verdict

        GOLDSTORM has only once been out of the first two in his last eight starts when unlucky in-running behind today's rival Idol Deputy over the track and trip last month. He's since made amends with a very convincing victory and though 7lb higher can continue his winning ways. Idol Deputy has since run poorly in a better handicap and can do better while California English has been running well enough to get into the mix. Rawaafed has been narrowly beaten three times over the course and distance and the assessor has given him a chance while Copperwood, who has won seven times on the all-weather, can never be ruled out.
