Despite closing in on entry to the near miss merchant's club we're going to side with JOIN UP in division one of a nine-furlong handicap at the expense of Gold Rock and Marjury Daw. Having been extremely unlucky to bump into one of the best handicapped horses of the season, who showed no signs of stopping a run of wins when in front for the second time since their meeting last time, the pick couldn't quite get to the winner over a shorter trip at Lingfield on his last effort. A return to this trip and track looks a plus and he has the best recent form of this field. Gold Rock hails from a yard going well and was a close up fourth at Ligfield last time. Under the same burden he should go well but his last run at this track leaves him with something to prove. James Given's Marjury Daw is down to the mark he only just missed off of in January so has to be considered while Mister Chocolate Drop was expected to do better on his last run but that was nearly a year ago. It's a contest that won't take much winning and Join Up has a really strong claim.
