BLUE ZEPHYR just about sets the standard and with Willie Muir's charge still open to improvement he's our tentative selection in a weak looking maiden with Lucas Pitt also on the list along with Dower Glen. In the frame in both starts this season, albeit well held, the selection may have been found an easier opportunity to leave his maiden tag behind. His run behind Freddie's Girl at Kempton two starts back has worked out well and as long has he acts on this slower surface he looks to have a good chance. Lucas Pitt has no such worries when it comes to this venue with both of his runs coming here. He definitely improved form his first run on his last appearance and while he should kick on again we're not convinced the drop in trip will suit. Dower Glen is beginning to look exposed in this company but wouldn't have to find much more to win this after a good run last time and Val C is also experienced and could go well for a yard in form. Not a great race but Blue Zephyr looks to have marginally the best claims on it.
