        Verdict

        Barbirolli, Knock Bridge and Laconicos are three against the field in this handicap and the vote is given to Knock Bridge. The selection was returning from an 81-day break when a good second behind Seasons Estates at Windsor last month. He is sure to benefit from that run and with nominal improvement he will be hard to beat. Barbirolli won well at Chester last time when beating Thornby Mandate. He looks to be going the right way and as this trip seems to suit he is respected. Laconicos is in fair form and has finished second on his last two starts. However, he may need some respite from the handicapper before he is able to get his head in front. Sydney Symphony is better here than he is on the turf so he is another to consider, but for the winner we will stick with Knock Bridge.
