In depth

Verdict

In a competitive handicap REPLICATOR looks the one to side with after his victory on his seasonal bow last time so we give him the vote in front of Welcome Approach while much of Dvinsky's chance will depend on his run at Kempton on Wednesday. The Pick recorded a comfortable success on his first run back after over 250 days away from racing and if he builds on that now that bit fitter he should easily over come his mark rise and follow up. If the pick fails to build on his last run then Welcome Approach looks the best placed to take advantage. A bit of a course specialist, he is still looking competitive despite a small rise for his neck defeat on his last outing. Dvinsky is a likeable sort and should run his race now back in a handicap if he turns up while Brierty is also on the list after a couple of good tries in defeat. Fault and Methaaly aren't out of this at the weights either but after a taking victory on his return Replicator is given the chance to replicate.
