Verdict

Buscador is the one to beat here and is confidently selected. Anduril is considered but Tuning Fork and Schinken Otto could give him most to do. Buscador battled on gamely to win a far more competitive contest over course and distance on Saturday and a repeat performance should suffice. He has run well in consecutive days in the past so his quick reappearance is no cause for concern and he remains well treated on his best form despite his penalty. Anduril has a good track record but hasn't looked at his best of late; he's worn different headgear the last twice but sports none today and has worn blinkers the last three times he's been successful. Tuning Fork showed enough on his second run back from a long break to suggest that he retains his ability but he's won just once in thirty four attempts and couldn't be put forwards with confidence. Schinken Otto hasn't run on the Flat for some time but has been in good form over fences this season and could give a good account. However, the more obvious claims of Buscador win the day and he's our pick.
