Verdict
The winner should come from one of Carlton Scroop, Nimello and Still Dreaming with Tony Newcombe's veteran preferred. He may not have time on his side but he proved his wellbeing with a narrow defeat at Southwell last time and has won an impressive eight of his twenty four starts here. This trip and this class are what he's all about nowadays and he makes plenty of appeal in this company. Still Dreaming made a satisfactory debut here last month and will be more at home over this longer trip but she hasn't proved easy to win with so far; she has claims but those of Carlton Scroop are feared more. He lacks a recent run but made a winning return over course and distance in March from a short break when 5lbs higher so his chance is there for all to see. He's clearly a major player but Nimello may be able to hold sway.
