Neardown Queen is the selection in a wide open seller, with Lady Algarhoud and Diamond Josh the alternatives in a race where interest should be kept to a minimum. Diamond Josh comes here in good heart after two wins in similar contests and a close fourth last time. He has to be on any shortlist but the weight concession may ensure he has to settle for a place. Lady Algarhoud won twice here at this time last year and comes into the race on the backof three good runs. She was awarded a Nottingham contest in the stewards room before running well in two handicaps. This represents a distinct drop in grade and she will be hard to beat. Neardown Queen is a t the foot of the weights however and has a winning look. She is lightly raced, having seen the racecourse on only four occasions, and she showed considerable improvement on four ordinary efforts when finishing second in a Brighton handicap last time. Neil Callan, in terrific form just now, is on board and that may swing things in her favour. Neardown Queen can reign supreme.
