TEXAS QUEEN, Il Forno and American Light are shortlisted in this maiden and the vote goes to Texas Queen. Mick Channon's filly finished third behind Clifton Bridge over this course and distance on Boxing Day. She has the plum draw today and she looks to have been found a golden opportunity to get her head in front. Il Forno could be the big danger but he has been off the racecourse since August and he was a beaten favourite on his only previous run here back in July. American Light chased home Brynfa Boy here over this course and distance last time and although that was a solid enough effort, he will need to improve to win this. Slap And Tickle is an interesting newcomer from the Stuart Williams yard and a market move for him would have to be of interest. However, the vote is given to Texas Queen.
