Verdict

The consistent A Wish For You is our choice to land the finale over Firewalker and Mac Dalia. A Wish For You did take 12 outings to break her maiden duck. However, amongst those outings were some highly credible performances, most notably a second behind the progressive all-weather performer Weet A Surprise. Caution should be applied to the form of her most recent win, with the second well beaten since but Dean Ivory's filly could be well handicapped if she steps up from that maiden victory. Firewalker makes his handicap debut but has proved frustrating. There is not much to choose between A Wish For You and Mac Dalia on the basis of a clash between the two recently. Mac Dalia landed a Southwell claimer since then and makes her debut for Alan McCabe here. A tight heat to round proceedings off at Wolverhampton but A Wish For You is taken to land the finale.
