Spitfire Jane, Cherished Song and Hawa Khana are sure to be popular with punters here but a better bet could be Tapas Lad who gets our vote. Vince Smith's 3-year-old was well supported in the market when finishing a close third behind Home on Monday. He was slowly away that day but was staying-on powerfully at the finish and if he can break on level terms today then he should take plenty of beating. Spitfire Jane looks the obvious alternative as Karl Burke's filly has only had the two runs but she she has shaped with plenty of promise on each start. She is stepped-up in trip today which should suit and she can go well. Cherished Song is another that has shaped with a bit of promise, although she will need to improve on what she showed a Kempton last time if she is to get her head in front. Hawa Khana disappointed over 7f last time but she had run well previously over further so she may be capable of improvement today. However, Tapas Lad was an eyecatcher last time and this colt looks well worth another chance.
