        Verdict

        METATRON showed signs of temperament at the start on last month’s debut but returned an impressive seven-length winner over course and distance. He beat a John Gosden-trained horse on that occasion but Gantier has plenty of improving to do to match the selection despite the latter’s penalty. James Park Woods went close at Newmarket last time and looks a bigger threat ahead of Newbury fifth Skyman and Fares Alpha while Eightsome Reel is the first foal of a Listed winner and a newcomer to note.
