Verdict

SINGLEB looks to take this fairly close contest ahead of Downhill Skier and Red Cape. Gay Kelleway's five-year-old has put in some very respectable performances of late, winning his last two outings, and previously won over this course and distance. The gelding will be hoping to follow up his recent success, he's holding his form well and is obviously one to be with at this level. Red Cape looks quite capable of putting up a challenge and is another gelding to have won over course and distance in the past, but he has shown poor form since then. Downhill Skier has slipped in form a little since his last win over this course and distance. The gelding seems to prefer the Polytrack to turf, with his only two victories coming on the surface. Mark Brisbourne will be hoping his five-year-old will be able to recapture his previous form today. Singleb gets the selection, in a relatively tight contest.
