In depth

Verdict

Ramvaswani deserves to win a race but he has had plenty of chances, mainly over hurdles, and remains a maiden after 30 career starts so is hard to back with any confidence and preference is for CRAGGANMORE CREEK, who gets the verdict with Diktatorship rated the best of the rest. The selection has found just the one too good in each of his last two starts and having been dropped 1lb since his latest outing, he looks to have been found a good opportunity to go one better today. Mark Brisbourne's Desert Hawk has been well beaten of late but has slipped to a fair mark, while Malcolm Jefferson's Schinken Otto has slipped to a winning mark but is hard to back on recent evidence. Casablanca Minx has to be considered with Gay Kelleway's string back among the winners but a bigger threat is likely to come from Jennie Candlish's Diktatorship, who showed improved form here last time. Cragganmore Creek has plenty going for him though in a race as poor as this and he is taken to gain a deserved success.
