Verdict

Dane's Castle can defy topweight in the nursery ahead of Latin Express and Ryedane, with Athboy Nights one to note in the market. Dane's Castle gained a deserved success at Lingfield last time, making all under Frankie McDonald, and having had a little break since then, comes back fresh and ready to try and give weight away all round. Prior to his win, Brian Meehan's charge had been placed behind better opposition than this, and a seven-pound rise does not look therefore look harsh. Rydane hit winning form here 11 days ago when just holding on from Rancho Cucamonga. He was tiring rapidly at the finish and so the drop back in trip should help his cause. Mark Wallace has had a quiet time of things of late, but is sure to have a few winners soon, and any money in the ring for Athboy Nights, a lightly-raced Night Shift filly, should be heeded. Dane's Castle is more battle-hardened by now though and can come out on top overall.
